My name is Rachel Lau, and I am a recent graduate (2020) of SAIT's Architectural Technology program.

After exploring a few different career paths in biology, medical laboratory tech, and economics, I've landed in the field of architecture and construction. Coming from a family of house flipping, real estate and interior design, I did my best to avoid following in the footsteps of my parents after years of being involved in choosing materials with my mother, and renovating with my father.

 

But here I am, enjoying the the work and the process of drafting and construction coordination.

Some might say I've come full circle.

My goal is to grow my technical skills in modelling and detailing, to help in my growth toward VDC/BIM management or project management.
